Select About Firefox from the Firefox help side menu. In the menu that appears, click the Help option at the bottom. Click the Open Application Menu button in the upper-right corner of the screen. To verify that Firefox is at the latest version or update it manually, follow the steps below. Mozilla Firefox should automatically download updates and prompt you when they are available to install. However, if automatic updates are not working, open the Google Play app to check for an updated Chrome browser version. On an Android tablet or phone, the Chrome browser should get updated automatically, like other apps. 
If updates were installed, click the Relaunch button to restart the browser.

Less important in the internet age but nonetheless we do not forget this sort of thing. 
Many of us avoid x.0 releases because experience shows us they usually have a problem of two. The Higher the number, you’ve got to wonder about the quality of the content. My last word is that if I compare two products and they have similar functionality, is the version really going to tell me anything? Well yes, the LOWER the version number the implication is that more effort has been put in and less buggy versions released to produce that functionality. Since my days as a TRS80 clone developer, versions have always been structured pretty much as Major version.Minor version.Bug Fix – how hard can this be. If any of the firefox developer dweebs (aka nerds) are reading this, I suggest you are heading in the wrong direction. What a joke, in my mind (I am also a developer) their reputation is already on shaky ground with some of the most stupid changes I have seen in recent times. My guess is that this change alone is worthy of leaping from V9 to V10 :-)
Wow removing the version number from the about box, just the kind of top of the shelf change useful request all of us are looking out for.
